Organizing committee

The Organizing Committee was established by the Decree of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation No. 568 of March 03, 2016 and was instructed to prepare the Russian exposition and make the necessary arrangements for Russia’s participation in EXPO-2017.

The main tasks of the Organizing Committee are as follows:

  • coordinate the activities and interactions of federal executive authorities, regional executive authorities representing the subjects of the Russian Federation, and local municipal authorities and organizations in order to streamline the preparation of the Russian exposition and make the necessary arrangements for Russia’s participation in EXPO-2017;
  • exercise control over all events pertaining to the preparation of the Russian exposition and necessary arrangements for Russia’s participation in EXPO-2017

The Organizing Committee met for the first time on December 12, 2016 to discuss the preparation of Russia’s participation in the International Specialized Exhibition and approve the concept and trademark style of Russia’s participation in EXPO-2017.
